Gift AidGift Aid is an excellent way of supporting us to transform the lives of people by helping them to work their way out of poverty. From 6th April 2000 it has been possible for UK taxpayers to make all their donations to charities by Gift Aid. This allows charities to claw back your tax (22%) from the Inland Revenue on either one-off or regular donations. There's no minimum contribution so even on a pound the tax is reclaimable. 

Gift Aid means that a donation could be worth almost one third more to LEAP! All it requires is that you fill out a declaration form (one time only) and all donations are increased in value. It does not affect your taxable status or put you under any obligation to make further payments. We can also reclaim tax on previous donations you made after 6th April 2000.

If you pay tax at the higher 40% rate, you are able to reclaim the extra 18% tax you've paid for yourself.
